Field guide

  1. Wire a PV string. Place 12–24 modules. Use DC cable and click successive modules in series, upstream to downstream. Connect the last module to a DC combiner. Use the same string length on each combiner and at a shared inverter input.
  2. Protect and export. Each combiner takes 10 strings with separate monitored fuses and an output switch. Connect the combiner to the transformation centre with a DC feeder. Use MV cable for the centre → protection cell → main network.
  3. Add storage. A battery includes a bidirectional PCS and step-up transformer. Connect it to the main network through its own MV cell. It charges from solar surplus and can support the site or export at night.
  4. Operate the site. Right-click a deposit with a worker selected to recover materials. Build and cable a worker factory to grow the fleet. At 22% the tracked worker seeks a powered pad or parks and uses its roof panel to recharge.
  5. Build a thermal circuit. Pipe flat-plate collectors to a heat store. Pipe troughs and towers to a turbine, then use an auxiliary AC cable to connect the turbine to the operations hub.
